In August of 2019, I was part of the production crew for a FEMA shoot in Houston, Texas. The goal of the shoot was to capture insurance agents speaking about the importance of flood insurance — especially in flood-prone areas like Houston, which suffered the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Because FEMA serves a large audience of Spanish speakers, we produced videos in both English and Spanish.
My role on the shoot was to interview all of the agents on camera in both languages and help film b-roll around Houston. Back at the office, I scripted the final videos based on the footage we captured.
