Missouri Foundation for Health: The Net Benefit

In 2018, the Missouri Foundation for Health asked GMMB to provide naming recommendations for a new initiative focused on building support for state and federal safety net services.

I presented several options to the client, and they landed on my personal favorite: The Net Benefit. This name is so powerful because it gets at the fact that safety net services don’t just help the people who use them — they benefit the entire state.

As a native Missourian, this cause is close to my heart. I’m so grateful for the work MFH does and the years I spent working with them!

The Net Benefit Storybook

As part of the initiative, the Foundation partnered with Humans of St. Louis (HOSTL) in 2019 to collect stories from all over Missouri about the impact of safety net services.

My team at GMMB compiled a selection of those stories into a book entitled The Net Benefit: Stories of the Safety Net. The print version of the book is used as a handout/leave-behind at Foundation events. Check out the PDF here.
